Hello and Happy Monday!
Today is the first official day of Las Vegas MAGIC. I am always excited when this time rolls around. If you are not familiar with MAGIC, it is huge retail tradeshow where buyers from all around the world come to shop the l;atest brands, current, and future brands. Brands showing at MAGIC vary from mainstream to impulse to specialty brands and so on. The past month for us has been CRAZY in preparation for this week. Sewing time has been sort of limited to a few hours every night. Nevertheless, I would like to share one of my sewing project archives. (Tomorrow I will post my Vegas DIY stuff…)
I made it about 3 years ago from the Cynthia Rowley Simplicity Pattern 2281.
The fabric that I used was a denim chambray that I purchased at Joann’s Fabrics. The accent denim was a random scrap from my fabric bin at the time. (I have a tendency to hoard even the tiniest piece of fabric for fear that I might be missing out on a future masterpiece!) I added some topstitch details throughout the waist band in a gold denim thread.
I followed this pattern with no revisions. I included the invisible zipper and side pockets as per the pattern.
