Hello!
More from my weekend with my cousin…
She and I did a lot of brainstorming and a lot of talking about FASHION! We attended another cousin’s 30th birthday party on Saturday night. I wore my DIY scuba pencil skirt and got a chance to experiment with some spiral rollers on my hair, too. My hair had a sorta of moment and I kinda liked it! Here are a few pics…
I used about 1 1/2 (or less) yards leftover scuba knit fabric.
Similar fabric can be found HERE.
I took and old pencil bandage skirt folded against the fold of the fabric.
I added about 12″ to the length of my rtw skirt by marking this addition on the fabric
Using an about 1″ seam allowance, followed the lines of my existing skirt to create this one.
I used the coverstitch option on my serger for the hem (a double needle will give a similar finish)
SKIRT: DIY (no pattern …followed lines of an existing skirt)

CAPELET: BCBG (here)
CLUTCH: Charming Charlie (here)
SHOES: Christian Louboutin
Overall…great weekend hanging out and getting inspired! I would love to hear your comments!
