Ok… so as I prep Halloween costumes for the kids, I thought that I should reference one of my favorite archives… this cream ruffled shirt dress.
Here’s the deal, I made this about 7 years ago and actually considered throwing it away!!! But it was not until this year that I wore it for the first time. In retrospect I am so glad that I kept it around. I must have been delusional to consider throwing it away?!
Both fabrics were purchased at Britex fabric in San Francisco. (I actually remember buying them… they were a treat to myself). So throwing this fabric away should not have been an option… shame on me!

This fabric is a serious situation…strands of yarn are bound between two pieces of chiffon. The accent fabric is a 100% textured wool.
To date, I am obsessed with the details…unfinished edges, pearls (as faux buttons), and the fabric covered snaps.
I would love to hear your thoughts…
