I am so excited to announce that I will be participating as a co-host with The McCall Pattern Company and another sewing/fashion blogger Lucinda Campbell (Sew Wrong) for a Wrap Dress Sewalong. As you may know, the wrap dress was made famous by designer Diane Von Furstenberg. The sewalong will give you an opportunity to follow along with others and make you own DVF inspired wrap dress!

The skirt, for this week’s post, was inspired by an Elie Saab skirt found on net-a-porter.com a few months ago. The skirt inspiration retailed for more than $2100.00 made out of a silk crepe fabric. I made my version for a lot less!

January was an extremely busy month for my family and me. We had several birthdays, family functions, and kid’s activities every weekend. There was hardly anytime to sew. For a quick DIY and update to some jeans that I found at H&M on sale for $7.00, this was the perfect “in between sewing” project. By the way, I did not find out about the price surprise until I checked out at the register…score!

It’s finally here! I am so excited to announce that ReDpants Designs is now featured in Pretty Girls Sew’s February 2015 issue (click HERE). I submitted my entry in September, only four months after starting my blog. When I found out that my entry was accepted…I was BEYOND excited!
