Hey, isn’t this tree forming a “V”? Could it be that the “V” is for VOTE for RUQAYYAH! ha…ha…ha…but seriously…please take a few minutes to vote for me so that I can move to the next round.

When presented with the challenge, I knew two things for sure 1) I wanted to use the fabric that I recently purchased from my favorite store in the Bay Area (Stone Mountain and Daughter Fabrics) and 2) I wanted to use a vintage pattern for the fabric. I chose to use Vogue reissued 1950 pattern 2414. I LOVE how this dress executed in this fabric!
The fabric is a 100% cotton fabric that is 45″ wide. The black and white is currently not available online. However the same fabric is available in some other fun colors HERE and HERE. Most of the time, you find gingham in a bold color crossed with white. This particular fabric is a heathered…so the lighter crossed color looks like a heathered gray color. The large scale and color variation made me fall in love with this fabric. Also, the fabric is extremely soft and has a very smooth handfeel.

I hope that you love my dress just as much as I do!
