This week I am keeping things simple for several reasons: 1) I am so excited about my new website that I want it to be the focal point this week (Please check it out HERE…what do you think????) 2) I can’t get enough of McCalls M7163…I am loving this pattern right now (I posted a top using this pattern a few weeks ago HERE) 3) It is hot outside and anything more would be too much for this weather!
Quick tidbits about the dress and how I altered the McCall’s pattern M7163:
**I cut the full length of this dress to about 36″ in length from the top of the front and back pattern pieces of the top. **After trying the dress on, I wanted to give the dress a little something extra, so I decided to create a high-low hemline. I cut the hemline free hand. (STYLE TIP: Adding the shorter hemline helped to balance the oversized shape of the dress.)
The dress was made with this super soft cotton fabric. I had about 2 1/2 yards in my stash. I had just enough to fabric!
