I want to first start by saying THANK YOU to everyone that has supported me throughout this entire process! I started blogging as a way to share something that I am so passionate about. I love SEWING and I LOVE FASHION. In the beginning it was very difficult for me to put my work out there for the world to judge. I have received some great feedback since the beginning…and I thank you for that!
I have accomplished so much in a relatively short period of time. Most recently, you all allowed me to flood your time line campaigning for votes for the Pretty Girls Sew Rippin’ Ain’t Easy Sewing Challenge. With your support, I placed second out of eight other very talented competitors and gained some new friends in the process.
Prior to that, I co-hosted, with The McCall Pattern Company and Sew-Wrong (Lucinda Campbell), in the Wrap Dress Sew Along. I was able to share my knowledge in fabric and offer some tips on cutting knits and fit. (Click HERE for link to the reveal). I was able to make one of my favorite dresses this year!
In February of this year, I was able to present a fun, easy, versatile DIY skirt in a 6 page spread of the Pretty Girls Sew Magazine. The ladies of Pretty Girls Sew did an amazing job in their 2nd publication of their magazine…thank you! You can check out that publication HERE.
December 3rd of last year, I was featured as Bombshell of the Day (HERE). Fortunately, I received some awesome comments, gained some new followers, and the voting audience was pretty generous (overall)!
Exactly one year ago I recall asking for help to get my blog setup. I surveyed friends for help with the name of the blog. I knew that the name would include ReDpants (as this name has been apart of me since my sophomore year in college). I had a very firm deadline in mind that I wanted to have my blog up and running. If you know me well, you know that I am absolutely not computer savvy (I just got a smart phone last year as well!) This year, and just in time for my one year blog-a-versary, I enlisted some help to update my website/blog. I am so excited about my new platform to share and collaborate with others in the ThRed and Needles Sewing Group. Please click HERE to check it out.
There are so many other blessings that have happened since I started blogging last year. There is more to come from ReDpants Designs in the future…stay tuned!
Thank you again for all of your support!
