Ok…so earlier this week I showed you a basic pencil skirt (HERE)…a denim midi-silhouette with button front details. I LOVE a great pencil skirt. I wanted to show one more…this one is an off-the-rack in a POP color! I mixed the skirt with a DIY vest that I made a few months ago. My skirt for this post was purchased at JCrew a few season ago on sale. Citron is one of my FAVORITE colors…and I must admit that I am sort of addicted to the color. Aren’t the vest and skirt the perfect match? The vest was made using Simplicity 1756 HERE . I purchased the fabric from Michael Levine’s. It is not available online now, but here are some options in the same wool/rayon blend HERE, HERE, and HERE. The blend is a perfect all-weather fabric. You can see the full post on the vest HERE.
I love this necklace…doesn’t it remind you of a zipper pull with fringes? Hmmhhh….might have to play around with that idea??! Well…please don’t forget to check out the YouTube video that Shundra produced and created on making your own pencil skirt. Click HERE to go her YouTube video. Next week Raliat (@rallydfashionfanatic) will be posting on the PRINTED SKIRT followed by Michelle (@thatblackchic) who will be discussing the CLASSIC PANT.
I would love to hear your feedback! What is your favorite skirt silhouette?
