I recently took a trip to the San Francisco/Bay Area. If you have read my “ABOUT ReDpants”, you may know that I moved to the Bay Area immediately after graduating from college. I moved there to start my career in retail buying and lived there for nearly nine years. For me this trip was like going home. I was able to visit all of my favorite shopping (especially fabric) and eating spots. One thing that was on my list was to get some pictures of an outfit that I recently completed. My DH was able to spend a few hours with me and takes pictures at the Marina. It wasn’t until we went out to take pictures that I remembered that near the water …it was cold and extremely windy. So these pics are full of the wind-blown hair (which I had to pin-up) and squinting eyes blocking the sand and sun.
TOP: DIY McCall’s M7163 HERE | PANTS: DIY Burda | NECKLACES: H&M and Bauble Bar | SHOES: Jimmy Choo
For this outfit I used my favorite pattern McCall’s M7163 for the top and Burda pattern for the pants. The fabric is from Fabric Mart Fabrics (sold out). The fabric is a navy, white, and ReD blend of patterned striped in a cotton/rayon blend (which helps in minimizing the wrinkles). I knew that when I purchased the fabric that I wanted to make wide leg pants and an off-the-shoulder top. The look is super casual and comfy.
I miss the Bay already! Until next time!
