Hey guys! I am playing catch up on my post!
I posted this outfit to my social media a few weeks ago. I finally found a moment that I could sit and write a blog post! The ThReD and Needles sewing group worked on STRIPES last month. This top was one of my submissions for the month’s project. I purchased this fabric from one of my all time favorite fabric stores based out of San Francisco, Britex Fabrics. It is a 100% rayon challis fabric. Unfortunately, I bought the last of this fabric. The fabric sews and washes easily. I ventured out away from my standard off the shoulder pattern (that I have remixed in so many ways) and used a different pattern. The pattern for this shirt was Vogue V9257.
The length of the flounce at the top makes the shirt a little less figure flattering than I prefer. It’s still a fun top with the pop of color and the vertical stripes. Overall, the top is EXTREMELY simple to make and is a great beginner project. I will probably make a few more renditions before the end of Summer.
I would love to hear your thoughts!!!
