For the past four months my blog had been solely focused on the Pretty Girls Sew Rippin Ain’t Easy sewing competition. I am a few months behind on my summer sewing projects, but I have some great sewing plans and DIYs that I can’t wait to share!
Nevertheless, there is one more round left and voting for that round is this Saturday, June 13th. I will post voting information on that day.

YAY! I made it to Round 4 of the Rippin’ Ain’t Easy Sewing competition with the help of your votes. The challenge for this round was any pattern of your choice in GINGHAM fabric. Hey, isn’t this tree forming a “V”? Could it be that the “V” is for VOTE for RUQAYYAH! ha…ha…ha…but seriously…please take a few minutes to vote for me so that I can move to the next round.

Ok, so I made it to the 2nd round…even after my “make it work moment” from Round 1. Once again, I had another round of making it work (I am so indecisive…)! The challenge for Round 2 was to use Simplicity 1464 View C and any pattern (or self drafted) blouse/top.
Please click on the link HERE to cast your vote so that I can make it to the next round of the competition…voting ends tonight at 8pm CST.

I am so excited to show the outfit that I made for the Pretty Girls Sew Rippin’ Ain’t Easy Competition (please go and vote for my look…VOTE HERE). I must admit that this challenge was a bit of a “Project Runway” make it work moment. For starters, I have been extremely busy with my family, work, and getting my post completed for The McCall Pattern Sewalong. On top of that, I had to prepare for my trip to New York to visit one of my really good friends. I had only one weekend to work on this outfit and I had to make it work! But I actually thought this outfit was going to be a disaster…
