It has been a while since I last posted a DIY look. I am excited to share this coat that I made as a part of the ThReD and Needles November/December project! I will be posting pictures from the other ladies on the page shortly.
Summer is the time to sew easy simple silhouettes. Here in Texas…the weather is so hot…that tight and restricted silhouettes would be painful! I wanted to make a few easy pieces that I could wear in this type of weather. I decided to give McCall’s pattern M7163 one more run…check out the other versions HERE and HERE.
This week I am keeping things simple for several reasons: 1) I am so excited about my new website that I want it to be the focal point this week (Please check it out HERE…what do you think????) 2) I can’t get enough of McCalls M7163…I am loving this pattern right now (I posted a top using this pattern a few weeks ago HERE) 3) It is hot outside and anything more would be too much for this weather!

As I mentioned in my last post…I just had my 20 year high school class reunion. For those of you that follow my Instagram site, you might have seen me post a picture wearing this outfit with my husband. I wanted to share the details for those sewers and those interested in finding similar ready-to-wear options.
