A few things that I find challenging in my wardrobe are casual, comfy, “wear everywhere” tops. I made the perfect top here for those casual situations.
Think that you can’t wear sequins in the day…well think again! As I was going through my stash of fabric, I found this unfinished project (the sequined pants) folded in one of my stacks! I am so excited to finally share this shirtdress for the ThReD and Needles group project. (I will be posting another one with the rest of the group on Monday.) I made the dress using a mix of fabrics already in my stash…the printed fabric is silk twill, the Glen plaid is wool/rayon blend, and the back panel is a cotton shirting. Continue reading
For the past four months my blog had been solely focused on the Pretty Girls Sew Rippin Ain’t Easy sewing competition. I am a few months behind on my summer sewing projects, but I have some great sewing plans and DIYs that I can’t wait to share!
Nevertheless, there is one more round left and voting for that round is this Saturday, June 13th. I will post voting information on that day.
I am so excited to show the outfit that I made for the Pretty Girls Sew Rippin’ Ain’t Easy Competition (please go and vote for my look…VOTE HERE). I must admit that this challenge was a bit of a “Project Runway” make it work moment. For starters, I have been extremely busy with my family, work, and getting my post completed for The McCall Pattern Sewalong. On top of that, I had to prepare for my trip to New York to visit one of my really good friends. I had only one weekend to work on this outfit and I had to make it work! But I actually thought this outfit was going to be a disaster…
